The Veterans Health Administration Innovation Ecosystem (VHA IE) required a unified branding strategy to ensure consistency across all internal and external marketing materials. In collaboration with the design team, we developed a comprehensive 59-page style guide that encompassed various elements such as color palettes, custom icons, imagery styles, and logo formats. This cohesive branding approach provided clear guidelines for all programs within VHA IE, facilitating a consistent and professional visual identity across the organization.
As the art director for this project, I guided the creative strategy and execution of VHA IE’s branding initiative. I worked closely with the design team to ensure the style guide effectively captured the organization’s identity while remaining functional for widespread use. My role involved refining visual elements such as typography, color selection, and iconography to create a cohesive and versatile brand system. By establishing clear and practical design standards, we provided VHA IE with a strong, recognizable visual presence that enhances communication and engagement across all platforms.
